CPMI and Iosco have launched consultation on Unique Product Identifiers
The Committee of Payments and Market
Infrastructures (CPMI) and the International Organisation of
Securities Commissions (Iosco) have launched a consultation on
the harmonisation of Unique Product Identifiers (UPIs).
The regulatory bodies on Thursday
published a consultative report containing plans for a
harmonised global UPI.
UPIs are codes that uniquely identify
over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives products that must be
reported to trade repositories.
