The former GFI broker called for a principles-based approach to cyber-crime
Commissioner Christopher Giancarlo of the
Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has called on
market regulators to adopt a principles-based approach to
tackling cyber security.
In a lecture at the Harvard Law School,
Giancarlo said on Wednesday that while cyber risk was the
"number one threat to 21st century financial markets"
regulators must resist the temptation to adopt prescriptive
