New contracts are supported by a second wave of market maker schemes
The London Metal Exchange Monday launched
its first new contracts in five years as part of a group-wide
technology upgrade and development work, with the exchange
already seeing quotes in the new offerings.

was completed with no technical issues across the
exchange’s electronic systems - including
LMEselect and its real-time clearing system LMEmercury - and
the new contracts and their accompanying market-maker schemes
were successfully added for trading, with quotes in the
contracts being offered Monday morning.
