European futures exchange’s constant maturity futures has won CFTC approval
The chief executive of recently-launched
exchange GMEX said its GBP project will be the next focus for
the firm, with plans to go live in the second-half of next
year, after winning regulatory approval to offer its launch
product to US firms.
Just three months after launch the
European futures exchange is making headway in its expansion
plans, said chief executive officer Hirander Misra, with
GMEX’s GBP project the next focus.
"We are working on our delivery plan for
the GBP project now. We are currently building out the index to
support it and will launch this in early January next year.
Then our attention will turn to the sterling launch in the
second half of the year, once the index has been operating for
a few months and we have prepared clearing partners," said the
