Merc has consulted on the design of a new contract to fill a “term gap” in suite
Derivatives marketplace CME Group
confirmed on Sunday the details of its new 'Ultra’
Treasury Note futures and options contracts after months of
consultation with the market on three potential designs.
The Merc said it will launch the new
additions in the first quarter of 2016 with the contracts to be
listed with the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), pending
regulatory approval from the US Commodity Trading Futures
As reported by FOW last week, the Merc
confirmed that it would announce its decision on the new
contracts on Sunday 18 October.
