European energy exchange will launch UK power futures on November 16
The European Energy Exchange (EEX) is
ramping up preparation work ahead of its UK power futures
launch in November, with the exchange set to offer full curve
trading from day one.
The exchange will on November 16 add
financially-settled power futures to its European power
derivatives offering, settled against the APX Power UK Auction
Steffen Köhler, chief operating
officer at the energy exchange, told FOW Wednesday: "When EEX
enters the UK market in November, from day one, we will offer
the full curve, ranging from day futures to calendar
