The global financial services sector shows increasing interest
in the idea of cloud computing. More than 80 per cent of
European financial institutions run at least some business
critical applications on private or public clouds. Any initial
reticence has been overcome by the need to scale - add more
customers, trade new asset classes, expand locations - and
scale at speed. What’s more, the flexibility of
cloud-based resources and services is an attractive alternative
to the expense of owning and running large data
