Commodities market applied for approval from the US regulator in 2014
The US Commodity Futures Trading
Commission (CFTC) has approved Nodal Exchange’s
clearing house as a derivatives clearing organisation (DCO)
under the Commodity Exchange Act.
The commodities exchange has been working
toward to the launch of its own clearing house, Nodal Clear,
after late last year logging its application with the CFTC.
As reported by FOW in July, the exchange
had been eyeing a fourth quarter launch.
