Projects will be delayed or cancelled unless the budget is increased - Maijoor
Chairman of the European Securities and Markets Authority
(Esma), has warned EU lawmakers that budget constraints are
undermining ability of the European regulatory authorities to
deliver post financial crisis reforms.
Maijoor told the
European Parliament on Monday that Esma, along with its fellow
EU regulators the European Banking Authority (EBA) and European
Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), would be
forced to delay or cancel a number of projects unless the
budget is increased.
