The UK’s Financial Conduct
Authority (FCA) is hopeful that the September deadline for
submission of the final draft of Esma’s Mifid II
regulatory technical standards (RTS), and said that the
three-month delay over the summer may result in
Kicking off proceedings at FOW Regulation
2015 in London on Tuesday, Paul Willis, technical specialist,
commodities at the British regulator said, "The next step in
the regulatory process with be delivery by Esma of the RTS in
September – this remains our target, while this has
been a long journey and the scope of regulatory change is a
burden on the market, we are still focused on a timetable to
submit the RTS at the end of the month, and we are hearing
similar things from other bodies.
