Inaugural compliance survey released at Smarts biennial conference in Hong Kong
Stricter regulatory requirements is the
biggest driver in beefed-up compliance processes, according to
80% of respondents to a new study from global exchange group,
The top compliance concern is the raft of
new reporting and administrative requirements detailed by
regulation, said respondents, with understanding tech
capabilities and implementation also key.
"Coinciding with upcoming regulatory
concerns, the majority of respondents report that protecting
their firm’s reputation is a top compliance
driver. However… time spent on regulatory research
totals less than one hour per work day for the majority of
compliance departments," said the firm.
