Bodies issued draft guidance on the harmonisation of universal trade identifiers
Organisation of Securities Commissions (Iosco) and the
Committee of Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI), on
Wednesday, launched a public consultation on draft guidance for
the harmonisation of unique trade identifiers (UTIs).
The regulators said in
a statement that the objective is, "to produce clear guidance
as to UTI definition, format and usage that meets the needs of
UTI users, is global in scale, and is jurisdiction-agnostic,
thus enabling the consistent global aggregation of OTC
derivatives transaction data."
