ASX is first overseas clearing house granted permanent exemption by the CFTC
The US Commodity
Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) late on Tuesday, granted
Australian clearing house, ASX Clear (Futures), a permanent
exemption from registration as a derivatives clearing
The announcement came
hours after the Commission requested public comment on the Korea
Exchange’s application, and means that ASX
Clear has become first overseas clearing house to be granted
permanent exemption from CFTC registration.
