Subgroups developed to create practical approaches to specific rules in Mifid
Standards body FIX Trading Community has
created six regulatory subgroups, tasked with supporting its
members in meeting the requirements of the European Securities
and Markets Authority’s (Esma) regulatory
technical standards (RTS).
The six groups are: Clock Synchronisation;
Reference Data; Transparency; Best Execution; Microstructure;
Order Data; and Record Keeping.
"The groups will help regulators achieve
what they are looking for; interpretations by companies across
the market can be very different, often dependent on which area
of the market they sit within, serve, and the type of
operations they undertake, which may mean that companies work
together sub-optimally. By creating industry wide
collaboration, practical solutions to issues can be found for
the benefit of all," Rebecca Healey, CEO of Incisus Group and
co-chair of the EMEA Regulatory Subcommittee, told FOW.
