The new European futures exchange is set to start trading on Friday August 7
European futures exchange GMEX has said
Bank of America Merrill Lynch will trade on the platform from
day one in a timely boost for the venue just two days before it
GMEX and the US investment bank said on
Wednesday it will offer Merrill clients execution and clearing
services when the new exchange goes live on August 7 with its
interest rate swap constant maturity future.
Brook Stevens, managing director, European
head of futures and options, over-the-counter (OTC) clearing
and foreign exchange prime brokerage at Bank of America Merrill
Lynch, said: "We are pleased to be extending our range of
products to include the IRS CMF from GMEX Exchange."
