Australian exchange ASX Group wants to tap the booming Asian
futures market and fight more effectively in its own backyard
for the local swaps clearing market under its new head of
derivatives when she joins the firm in September.
set to hire in September Helen Lofthouse, formerly managing
director and European head of exchange-traded derivatives
clearing sales at UBS in London, as its Sydney-based executive
general manager of listed and over-the-counter derivatives,
as first reported by FOW this month.
charged with spear-heading ASX’s next derivatives
push by growing the Australian exchange’s
international derivatives franchise and attracting more flow
from Asia, Europe and North America.
