London-based arm of the Chicago broker has been growing in the past year
The European arm of US broker RJ
O’Brien has been successful in its application to
be admitted for the first time as a direct trading member of
the London Metal Exchange, the first firm to secure that level
of access for eight months.
The LME, which is owned by Hong Kong
Exchanges and Clearing, said on Thursday RJO had been approved
as a category two associate member, the second highest
membership that offers holders full trading rights but not a
seat on the exchange’s famous trading floor.
