Exchange will open Nordic office in Q3, pitching it in competition with Nasdaq
The European Energy Exchange (EEX) is
eyeing the UK power market as part of its plan to move
aggressively into new markets, according to the exchange's
chief operating officer.
Steffen Köhler, chief operating
officer of the exchange, said on Wednesday: "There are many
more countries to tap, and the UK presents us with a potential
next step. Therefore at our next Power Working Committee
meeting in September, the UK will be suggested as a next market
for us to move into."
