The US Commodity
Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) issued on Monday proposed rules
covering margin requirements for cross-border uncleared swaps,
including a third-country substituted compliance regime.
The rules apply
activities of US swap dealers, non-US swap dealers registered
with the CFTC and swaps of non-US counterparties guaranteed by
a US person or parent company.
