Exchange is in talks with Swiss exchange over buying stakes in two indices
Deutsche Boerse has become the latest
exchange group to look to boost its index unit, by opening
talks with the Swiss exchange over buying outright the index
businesses they jointly own.
The German exchange giant and the Swiss
exchange SIX said in a joint statement on Monday that they had
entered into negotiations "over the complete acquisition of the
shares SIX holds in the two joint ventures by Deutsche Boerse
at a purchase price of CHF 650 million (£442
