Maijoor said resources will be increased to identity, assess investor risks
The European Securities and Markets
Authority (Esma) has Monday published its new strategic plan
for 2016-2020, including streamlined activities which focus on
investor protection, orderly markets, and financial stability
ahead of the implementation of new rules.
Steven Maijoor, chairman of Esma, said the
re-focused direction is a natural step for the organisation,
"As the bulk of post-crisis rulemaking is now lying behind
