Merger was finalised in February after a protracted battle between the brokers
US interdealer broker, GFI Group, has
parted ways with its chief operating officer, just four months
after its acquisition by rival US broker, BGC Partners.
Ron Levi, COO of GFI Group has left his
role at the company, after nearly 10 years in the position.
He was promoted to chief operating officer
in 2006 after serving as managing director of Europe since
2004. He joined GFI in 1993. Before this he was a director of
fixed income at Garban PLC.
