Profitability will put survivors in position to benefit from market upturn
Merchants (FCM) and the clearing industry are beginning to see
the positive results from restructuring and innovation and look
well position to benefit from a market upturn, according to a
report released by research firm Tabb Group.
The report found that
although new leverage ratio constraints and tougher market
conditions had forced some FCMs to leave the business "a
renewed focus on profitability will leave survivors in a good
position to benefit from a market upturn".
