Trade body issued notice warning of fraudulent emails asking for payment
The Futures Industry Association has been
the target of a "phishing email attack", prompting the trade
body to warn members they should be wary of fraudulent emails
requesting payment for FIA conferences.
FIA Americas said on Tuesday in a notice
to members: "We regret to inform you that FIA was one of
multiple associations that was the target of a phishing email
attack earlier today. As a result, your name, company name and
email address were compromised."
