Venture is owned by Deutsche Boerse, Shanghai Stock Exchange and CFFE
Deutsche Boerse, the Shanghai Stock
Exchange (SSE) and the China Financial Futures Exchange plan to
start trading futures and options in the second phase of a new
joint trading venture announced on Wednesday.
The China Europe International Exchange
will start trading in the fourth quarter, offering China-based
shares to international investors in line with the
venture’s remit to support the
internationalisation of the Chinese currency.
Once up and running, the company will add
a range of derivatives and futures contracts, a Deutsche Boerse
spokesperson told FOW, though timelines on this could not yet
