The top US options exchanges have seen a drop-off in activity this year
US prop trading firm Volant Trading has
launched a service that aims to provide for the first time
institutional clients with access to the extra liquidity that
resides in the auctions run by US options exchanges.
The Volex Liquidity Auction service uses
Volant’s exchange access to provide institutional
clients with electronic access to auction liquidity which was
previously off-limits, an important step according to Volant
because displayed liquidity is drying up.
