British futures trader was Tuesday arrested at the request of the US DOJ
Further details have emerged in the case
against British futures trader and alleged market manipulator
Navinder Sarao, including his emails to the FCA calling for a
ban on high-frequency trading.
In an email to Britain’s
Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Sarao said: "I
don’t like the HFT arena and have complained to
the exchange numerous times about their manipulative practices,
please BAN IT."
He continues, "I am an old school point
and click prop trader… That is how I trade, that is how
I have always traded, admittedly very very fast because I have
