Trader arrested at the request of US regulators CFTC and DOJ on Tuesday
A British trader charged with market
manipulation linked to the May 2010 "Flash Crash" has had bail
set at more than £5 million on Wednesday afternoon after
vowing to contest an extradition order from US authorities.
Navinder Singh Sarao’s day in
Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday came after a delayed
start and culminated in his conditional bail at around 16:30
Sarao told the court Wednesday that he
would contest the bail extradition request, and he could now
face a lengthy process to determine whether he will be sent to
the Chicago to face charges.
