CME Group said it is to launch its first cocoa contract at the end of March
The Intercontinental Exchange has made a direct challenge to
the CME Group's bid to move into the European cocoa market by
detailing its plan to launch a suite of new commodities
contracts including a cocoa product on the same day as CME.
The US exchange group said on Friday it will launch 44 new
contracts including a Euro-denominated cocoa product and a
range of energy contracts on March 30, the same day that CME
Europe plans to launch its Euro cocoa contract.
