Exchange to delay implementation of risk service to March 10 after execution error
The Moscow Exchange’s foreign
exchange market suffered an outage of more than an hour
Thursday after its system was hit by a technical glitch.
The exchange said the outage was caused by
"a malfunction in the operation of gateways used to access the
market's trading system. Specifically, a transaction that
balanced risk between the Exchange's Derivatives and FX markets
was executed with an error".
The exchange said trading on the FX and
precious metals market was interrupted at 11:26 MSK and resumed
at 12:40 MSK.
