Exchange consulting on format for end-of-day gold and silver forward curves
The London Metal Exchange (LME) has said
its talks with banks about possible new solutions to boost
transparency in precious metals are progressing well.
"There is a general desire for greater
transparency," Matt Chamberlain, LME’s head of
business development, told FOW. "We are talking to banks with
interests in the precious sphere, and these conversations
ultimately lead to different ideas and potential outcomes to
combat industry challenges."
The British metals exchange said in
January it had started consulting with banks on the potential
reintroduction of end-of-day gold and silver forward forward
curves in a new format.
