Bank is one of first to raise clearing fees after months of market speculation
Citigroup is raising its clearing and
settlement fees for currency trades as it attempts to reduce
the hit it took following the Swiss franc’s
collapse last month.
The bank has been assessing the business
for some time, according to a source familiar with the matter,
and the prime brokerage arm will now charge higher fees from
clients for the service.
