IT spending by Asian Pacific banks is set to drive global spending growth
Bank spending on technology is set to rise
by nearly 5% this year to $196.7bn driven by increased spending

In its IT Spending in Banking: A
Global Perspective report, research consultancy Celent
said tech spending by Asia-Pacific banks will grow this year
5.6% to $70.3bn.
Celent expects this Asian growth to remain
relatively consistent in 2017 "but the new investments budget
will be spent on some innovative areas," said the report.
