The US exchange group has gone higher to match BGC's rival $5.85 bid
CME Group, the US
Exchange Operator, and GFI management have upped their bid for
GFI Group to $5.85 per share, matching BGC’s
The CME, led by chief executive Phupinder Gill, said on Tuesday
it had improved its stock and cash offer for GFI from $5.60 to
$5.85 per share. The Group said the bid is subject to approval
by the Special Committee of the GFI board.
