US custodian said in December it was closing its US swaps clearing unit
State Street’s global chief
operating officer of its brokerage unit Michael Irwin is
leaving the US custody bank just a month after the firm shut
its swaps clearing business.
Irwin is said by sources to have agreed to
leave the bank in the past week but the circumstances around
his departure are unclear.
