China A50 futures up almost 500% in December and 100% for the year

(SGX) saw an exceptionally busy December drive the Asian
exchange to a record year for volumes in 2014, the firm
The Singapore exchange said trading
volumes came in at a record 17 million contracts in December,
up 91% on December 2013, while annual volumes came in at record
120 million contracts, an increase of 7.4% on 2013.
exchange’s financial derivatives segment performed
strongly. The exchange’s flagship contract the
China A50 future hit a record of 9.5 million contracts up
almost five times on December last year and almost doubled over
the year to 41 million contracts from 22 million in 2013,
according to the SGX.
