Cocoa push comes as exchange earmarks January 19 for natural gas contracts
CME Group’s European
exchange, CME Europe, is set to launch cocoa futures contracts
in the first quarter of next year, according to a source
familiar with the matter.
As reported in FOW in September, the
exchange had been mulling two cocoa futures and a number of
natural gas futures for launch before the end of the year.
Last week the derivatives marketplace
confirmed that it has set January 19 as the launch date for its
first suite of physically and financially settled European
natural gas cleared futures contracts.
