Authority extends Libor regulation to new FICC benchmarks
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has
recommended the addition of seven UK-based financial benchmarks
to its regulatory scope, building on the London Interbank
Offered Rate (Libor) regulation.
The benchmarks being brought into its
regulatory scope are; Sterling Overnight Index Average (SONIA);
Repurchase Overnight Index Average (RONIA); ISDAFIX; WM/Reuters
(WMR) London 4pm Closing Spot Rate; London Gold Fixing (soon to
be replaced by the LBMA Gold Price); LBMA Silver Price; and the
ICE Brent Index.
