LME welcomes decision which marks the end of warehousing battle
The British Supreme Court has rejected
Rusal’s request for leave to appeal after the
world’s largest aluminium producer’s
case against the London Metal Exchange was rejected by the
Court of Appeal in October.
A spokesperson for the British metals
market told FOW that the Supreme Court’s ruling
marks the official end of the matter. The aluminium producer
and the LME have been embroiled in a British court battle over
the exchange’s warehousing reform programme for
the past year.
