New exchange will trade sugar and cotton as part of five launch contracts
ICE Futures Singapore will launch two cash-settled Chinese
commodities contracts and a renminbi future when it opens in
March next year.
The Chinese cotton and Chinese white sugar futures will
feature alongside a mini Brent crude contract and a 1 kilo gold
future. All but the gold contract will be cash settled in
ICE acquired the ailing Singapore Mercantile Exchange and
its clearinghouse in 2013 and will open its new market on March
17 subject to regulatory approval from the Monetary Authority
