The US inter-dealer broker said it is committed to buying one of its main rivals
Broker BGC Partners has made a direct appeal to shareholders
of rival GFI to accept a tender offer, after the GFI board
rejected its bid to buy the firm in favour of a bid by
management and CME.
Labelling the management/CME offer "clearly inferior" BGC
said in a statement that it is committed to completing the
transaction on the superior terms it had proposed.
