Uncertainty about Europe and Middle East roiled the main US options markets
The US options market saw near record volumes last month as
investors responded to growing concerns about the outlook for
Europe and heightened security concerns in the Middle East.
The Options Industry Council, which represents the largest US
options markets such as the Chicago Board Options Exchange,
the International Securities Exchange and NYSE Arca Options,
said the US options market traded 491.4 million contracts
