Aluminium firm claims the LME did not fully consider capping warehouse rent
Rusal, the world’s largest aluminium producer,
has vowed to fight on in its court battle with the London Metal
Exchange after a British court of appeal found in favour of the
exchange over its warehousing reforms.
The firm said in a statement on Wednesday: "Rusal continues
to believe the LME’s consultation process was
procedurally unfair, resulting in a decision which was neither
fair, nor proportionate. Accordingly, it will be seeking
permission to appeal the Court of Appeal’s
judgment to the Supreme Court."
