CME will be the third clearing house available to Australian clients
CME Group, the Chicago-based exchange giant, is set to
launch its first clearing service in Australia, marking the
latest sign of growing competition between clearing providers
in that country.
The Australian Treasury has granted a licence that
"authorises CME to operate the overseas clearing and settlement
facility in this jurisdiction" and clear interest rate swaps
and non-Australian dollar denominated derivatives traded on
