Icap is among a group of firms looking to become the administrator for gold
Interdealer broker Icap has become the latest firm to say it
will submit a proposal to administer the century-old global
gold price benchmark as the bullion market nears a decision
over which firm will take on that role.
Icap’s proposal would involve its electronic
trading businesses, EBS and Icap Information Services (IIS),
taking a joint lead in overseeing the gold benchmark.
