SGX faces regional competition in the shape of ICE Futures Singapore
The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has acquired for $23m the part
of the Energy Market Company (EMC) it didn’t own
in the latest sign of growing competition in the Asian energy
The acquisition of the Singapore-based company will enable
SGX to leverage EMC’s platform to create a
regional electricity, power and gas derivatives market.
