OSC has approved the first trade repositories just weeks before deadline
The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has approved
Canada’s first trade repositories a month before
trade reporting starts in Canada.
The OSC said it has approved three trade repositories
operated by US post-trade specialist the DTCC and US exchanges
CME Group and the IntercontinentalExchange (ICE).
Clearing agencies and dealers based in Ontario, Quebec and
Manitoba are required to report certain swaps transactions to a
trade repository by October 31 while all other OTC derivatives
market participants are required to report by June 30,
