Jefferies is looking to grow in the US and Europe as rivals pull back
Jefferies, the US bank, is set to hire Steve Chivers, the
former head of futures and options electronic trading at UBS,

from UBS, according to three sources.
Chivers is said by sources to be heading for Jefferies after
resigning in recent weeks from UBS in Chicago where he was the
head of electronic trading for exchange-traded derivatives
since 2006 when ABN Amro Futures, which Chivers joined in 2002,
was acquired by UBS Securities.
