New clearing house won this month approval to operate under Emir
The London Metal Exchange has confirmed it will migrate
clearing to its new LME Clear service this weekend, marking the
final push in a forty month project to deliver on Monday the
British exchange’s first clearing house.
The exchange said in circular to clients: "This notice
confirms to members the migration of clearing services from
LCH.Clearnet to LME Clear on September 22 is progressing
according to plan and that migration activities will commence
after close of business on Friday September 19 and over this
