The FCA said the definition of a trading venue may cover some brokers
Rules that will redefine trading venues are set to have a
significant impact on the culture of some brokerage firms,
according the head of markets at the UK Financial Conduct
Speaking at the FOW Mifid II for Brokers 2014 conference
Stephen Hanks, manager, markets division at the FCA, said the
market should expect to see an expansion of the scope of the
definition of a trading venue, with more firms being brought
into the boundaries of regulation.
